Hawaii’s rich and diverse culture, history, and nature have become my primary subjects and inspiration for my children’s book illustrations.

I use watercolor, paper collage, acrylic and digital mixed media to create illustrations. Working with textural mixed media is fun and adds depth and visual interest to my illustrations.

As a children’s book artist and an art educator, I love to create art with an array of colors, patterns and textures, and to make things with my hands - just as children do !  

I hope you will enjoy reading, looking at and touching my children’s books, as much as I enjoyed creating them.
